Thus far, however, Shadow Paladin is scaring me. They aren't acting 100% shadow paladin-like. You'll see what I mean.
<<Shadow Paladin>>
Grade 3 | 11,000 Power
(VG) (LB4) AUTO (CB1) When a <<Shadow Paladin>> rides this unit, you may pay the cost. If you do, choose one of your Vanguards and it gains +10,000 Power until the end of the turn. Then search your deck for up to one Grade 2 or less <<Shadow Paladin>> and call it to RG. That unit gains +5,000 Power until the end of the turn.
(VG) AUTO When this unit attacks a vanguard, it gains +2000 Power until the end of that battle.
(VG/RG) CONT Lord (If any units on your field are not <<Shadow Paladin>>, this unit cannot attack.
See what I mean? That ability superior calls and gives power to the called unit. I don't really know if thats quite in the Shadow Paladin Flavor. DO NOTE, however, that you don't have to call a Revenger. So PBO, get ready to Break Ride!!! Note that you only get one in the deck, but he's pretty nifty.
Now let's look at some of the other cards in the deck. A majority of them are clones of cards that already exist in other clans (You'll get a Dignified Gold Dragon Clone, a Sagramore Clone, etc.). Some are even clones of crads that already exist in Shadow Paladin. Like this guy! A Nifty 1-of in the deck.
Revenger of Nullity, Masquerade
<<Shadow Paladin>>
Grade 2 | 9,000 Power
(RG) AUTO Whenever this unit attacks, if you have a "Revenger" on your VG, this unit gains +3000 Power until the end of that battle.
So if you don't play PBO (Phantom Blaster Overlord, in case you are wondering), you'll have a Nullity just like all the other Shadow Paladin Players. You will also get "Transient Revenger, Masquerade" who is a clone of "Knight of Friendship Kay" that we've seen in Royal Paladin.
<<Shadow Paladin>>
Grade 1 | 7,000 Power
(RG) AUTO When this unit attacks, if you have a "Revenger" on your VG, this unit gains +3000 power until the end of that battle.
In addition to all of that, you'll also gain a new super booster! This is perhaps the only card I feel truly works with the theme that is Shadow Paladin.
Buranbau Revenger
<<Shadow Paladin>>
Grade 1 | 6,000 Power
(RG) AUTO When this unit Boosts a <<Shadow Paladin>>, if you have less RG than your opponent, the boosted unit gains +4000 Power until the end of that battle.
And he couples nicely with a Grade 2 with a similar effect, "Coilbau Revenger" is an 8K Grade 2 who specifies "When this unit attacks, if you have less RG than your opponent, this unit gains +3000 Power until the end of the battle."
So while there are some definite strides made thus far, this new Break kind of worries me, because its a stray from the Shadow Paladin we all know and love. But we'll just have to see as more Revengers hit the stage, because its going to be...interesting.
I think he works fine. But more for a regular phantom blaster dragon build. He calls units that will be sacrificed
